		<description>That&#039;s exactly it.  In an earlier draft, I used the example of Gleeson Gleanings, the blog updated by the University of San Francisco&#039;s academic library.  It&#039;s not looking for a wide user base -- it&#039;s tailored specifically to inform the students and faculty of USF of the latest news at Gleeson Library.  For Gleeson Gleanings, success is defined by having an informed patron-base, nothing more.</description>

		<description>Daniel, I&#039;m impressed by the whole post, but I especially like how you emphasize that &quot;success&quot; varies depending on the blog. I looked at Dash&#039;s post, Babauta&#039;s post, and others, and wrote my post relying on their recommendations. I didn&#039;t appreciate how much their definitions of success (LOTS of traffic for the purpose of making money) might not apply to some blogs (like your baby blog -- cute children, by the way!). It was only when I got to the end, and starting thinking about the purpose of some library blogs, that I realized this point (and then went back and added that qualification to the first paragraph).</description>
